
What to Expect
In all our therapy sessions at Empowerment Health & Wellness, you can expect a safe and confidential environment where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings. Below are details about what to expect during each service.
Individual Sessions
Individual Sessions are exactly what you think! It's you and your therapist. Once you've booked your session, if you are having an in-person session, arrive at the clinic about 5-10 minutes before your scheduled session to fill out some paperwork. Your first session with us will be an intake assessment! Once your intake assessment is complete, every session from then on will be follow-ups.
Relational Sessions
Relational Sessions can involve romantic, platonic, roommates, friends, siblings, co-workers, business partners, etc.
Relational issues can be very complex - so whatever your situation is, we at Empowerment Health & Wellness take our time to understand what everyone involved needs.
Prior to your intake session - everyone involved will complete a questionnaire about your situation. This helps your therapist understand individually where your starting point is.
From there - an intake session will take place. Intakes will give everyone involved the time to speak about their reasonings for coming to therapy together. Therapists may have the people involved separate for small periods to speak individually.
Group Sessions
How group sessions run depends on the type of group you signed up for. Typically, groups are 3+ individuals alongside 1+ facilitators. Groups can involve support, resources, and activities that help everyone navigate the group topics. Groups typically either run for one session (workshop) or can run once a week, every week for 6-8 weeks. Many groups meet once a month every month. There are many varieties of groups! Walk-in/Same Day Sessions

If you pre-book online, pay the $10 deposit (non-refundable)

If you contact us another way or walk into the clinic - pay the total price after your session.

Come in a few minutes early to sign paperwork before your scheduled time slot or if walk in - we’ll give you the next time slot available and you can either wait or come back at that time.

Sessions are 45 minutes in length & at a reduced cost of $90 (invoices can be given for insurance)
Virtual Sessions

Once booked into our system, you will receive an email with a virtual visit invitation link 5 minutes before your scheduled session to join the meeting.

Click on the link, enter the code from your email and your last name

Follow the prompts to turn on your video and audio settings on your computer

Your clinician has to start the meeting on our end!

After your session, you can e-transfer your session cost to michelle@empowermenthealthandwellness.ca, OR you can contact the clinic to pay your preferred way.
